while i've found many of laird missive obnoxious, i object to allowing the
listmeister to make these decisions for us. it sets a bad precident. on laird
i have no opinion. i am thinking more about someone saying he told wali he
couldn't come back. wali had hurt me deeply and personally by accusing me of
lying but i loved much of what he had to say and miss his whimsey. i feel
mike let a lot of people subscribe who were questionable. as much as i
appreciate what he does for us, i do think we need to remain a contributory
democracy, that means acceptance into our unworthy circle as well as
expulsion should be a group decision. there have been more than a few
annoying to disgusting opinions expressed here, as well as some true
brilliance, which is what freedom of speech is about.
