Well thank God for Don - at least he got a lot of folks out of the woodwork
and thinking about what the list is for and not for. Most all the posts
have been short and to the point - good. I would like to know more about
Don, like what did you do in the '60s and '70s? What have you been doing
since then? What are you doing now? Same questions for everyone else.
Since I haven't been around Austin for the last 25 years I don't know what
you have been doing all this time and would like to know. Everyone seems to
be a big bag of opinions and not much substance to them. I know that isn't
true so would like to know what you have been doing. I keep hearing the
phrase that we are all so talented and creative, well how come we never see
much of that? How about some poems, short stories, photos, drawings, music
(it can be put into e-mail you know), designs, or photos of your craft work.
And when you do get something like that in your mail how about resopding to
it? Like, "nice picture", some reasoned critisim, or just a "duh - what's
that?".
Responding to another e-mail:
I remember the Id Coffee house. I once saw Janis J sing there to an all
most empty house. That was definatly back in my beatnik daze.
