AFGHANISTAN

I admit to a lack of enthusiasm for military war,
convinced there is no way to win a Holy War. However,
there were assumptions stated in a couple of pacifists
posts today that to me don't fly. Maybe they weren't
intentional:
'bombing Afganistan back to the stone age'
I don't get the impression that the US and Britain are
trying to do that.
'going to war with the Muslims'.
I hear said over and over again, that we are NOT at
war with the Muslim religion (although Bin Laden would
like all Muslims to believe that), rather with
terrorists.
The article Simmons sent had the statement:
'But if the
attackers did not plan this outcome, they are now well
aware of such
potential. Infrastructure attacks will feature
prominently in the future.'
It states clearly what we need to worry about...that
maybe WE will be the ones going back to the stone age.
