one thing we can all agree upon

It is a cold sonofabitch out there...since I live in an all-electric dream
home of the 50's I hang by a lifeline of one stinky little wire coming to my
house to keep me out of the local gymnasium.

I went looking last night for emergency space heaters powered by something
other than electricity and nobody had nuthin...

It put me to thinking...how ill-prepared most of us are for any real
interruption of the present luxurious infrastructure we are. (Duct tape
aside) How many are prepared with water and food supply, alternate heat and
lighting, or communication? Enough for at least 3 days?

The only one I know who is ready for action is Ed Alexander down in Real.
Big water tanks, generators, the whole ball of beans.

Given the possibility of some future unpleasantness, I think it would
behoove all of us to start thinking about what would happen during a FEMA
scenario. I think many of us would be in highly problematic situations.
Maybe it is time to make some preparations...however tentative.

Just musing on this cold-ass day.

tBob
