today is Saturday morning so I made my stand and DINT
pass by the Farmers Market downtown.

tomorrow, Sunday, 6 to 9pm, at the Saengerrunde Hall
(next door to the Scholz Garten), Henry Holman will
be celebrating his 90th birthday.

Henry is a retired carpenter and is one of the
Friday night Scholz contingent of yesteryear,
famously celebrated in the NYTimes Sunday Magazine
piece by Molly Ivins way back when she worked there.
the 2 page black and white photo of said contingent
from the article featured Henry, Fletcher Boone,
Ann Richards and others of much less account.

i met Henry when Mike Hershey took me to Henry's
60th birthday party at the Scholz Garten.

so if the Garten was your scene as well as the
ghetto/ranger milieu, and you have fallen out of
touch and you want to have a rare sighting of
Fletcher Boone, Stanley Walker, Dave Richards
if he is in town, and other tres hip types,
here's your chance.

Mike and Pat Holman will do another of their
famous Henry and Mary Holman impersonations,
doubtless Harriet nee Holman will be there with
or without her Greek husband who is high in the
CIA

im going to take my roommate's camera
