Texas Anti-Redistricting "Unity is Our Strength" Rally 
This Saturday, August 9th
10am - Pre-Rally Festival at Waterloo Park
11:30am - Rally at the State Capitol
>From across the state, Texans are uniting on Saturday, August 9 on the south side of Capitol in Austin to say "Enough is Enough."
Enough to special rules favoring only Republicans.
Enough to special interests. 
Enough to special sessions. 
Where and When: Activists from all over the state will begin meeting this Saturday, Aug. 9 at Waterloo Park (13th and Trinity) at 10:00 a.m. to network, enjoy live entertainment, and then march to the Capitol. The rally begins at 11:30 a.m. Entertainment includes Patrice Pike, Ruben "El Gato Negro" Ramos, and Joe Ely. Rally Emcee will be one of Austin’s own Killer D’s, State Representative Dawnna Dukes.
Be a part of history! We are honoring the courage of the Senate Texas 11 and House Killer Ds -- the Texas legislators taking a stand against this power grab. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to the biggest anti-redistricting event yet. Send the message to State GOP leaders to stop being Tom DeLay's puppet. Brings signs, be creative, and remember to write the message on both sides. 
If you’re interested in volunteering at either Waterloo Park or the rally at the Capitol, attend a brief volunteer meeting on Friday at 5:30pm at the Texas Democratic Party (701 Rio Grande) to receive assignments.
