van is, was, and always has been one of the finest white blues singers ever.
he is indeed an eccentric, but would rather have seen more of him and less of
tom jones. it is in van's blood.
been enjoying yr takes on the blues series and was waiting til the end to put
in my two cents, but will miss tonight's. scorsese's was in my opinion a hard
act to follow, but have enjoyed each night, some more than others.
scorcese has been quoted as saying, once they see you know what you are
doing, they start try to tell you what to do. so i shan't go into what i didn't
like, but it has been a fresh meditation on the blues, it was good to hear the
music, and i learned some stuff about bluesmen (and the occasional women) that
i did not know. having thought about it, think farke-toure was more
influenced by blues than an influence, tho the birth of the blues was from african
parents. what else could it be?
glad it happened.
let me know what clint eastwood's is like.
