spiritual, ain't he

I was listening on French radio to President Chirac condemning the Israelis
for offing the crippled sheik. Chirac speaks in a very affected way, slowly
and with perfect enunciation, his voice dripping with hypocrisy.

The sheik was a spiritual leader, spiritual in the loose sense apparently,
he was so spiritual that he was bent on destroying the Israelis.

The Israelis offed him with missiles from a helicopter, like Jovian
thunderbolts. In addition to the sheik and his 2 bodyguards there were as
usual innocent dead and wounded bystanders.

If Osama got offed that would be okay as he is the enemy of humanity. The
sheik and his suicide bombers are different somehow. He is just the enemy of
some of humanity.
