Yes, Michael, we have met. Specifically at the 2002 reunion.
Like Lyle Lovett, I love everybody. I have constructed no uncongenial
personas for you or anyone on this list. Perhaps you've taken offense
to my response to the exchange about fishing. And now that I think on
it, it would have been more accurate to say "lines in the water"
instead of rods in the water. The fishing vernacular eludes me.
I first came to Austin in September of 1960 and left for good (until I
came back) in August of 1970. I lived and partied at the Ghetto and
spent many hours in the Chuck Wagon. I don't remember you either, but I
don't doubt that you were there.
I can do nothing about my absurdist, borderline-apocalyptic sense of
humor. It is a permanent resident since my brain attack. A sense of
humor that I suspect Baron Katfish shares, being himself a veteran of
the Viet Nam campaign.
