Atheist among the Theists

I met her too and liked her. But, like, a professional atheist in Austin
int he '60s (not to mention now). Wow.

Still, there is that marvelous 'don't tread on me' iconoclastic element in
the native Texas personality, that sets us apart so distinctly from the
rest of the South (Wm. Burroughs' "...mean, pinched, bitter, evil
faces..")

The Iconoclast, among other ikons, comes to mind.

She stood her ground at least. Not like the fearful followers of today.

When considering the flabby quaking masses of 'murka getting cowed by RED
ALERT, LAVENDER ALERT etc. and accepting all the fresh steaming shit the
government feeds them, all fer jeebus, I am truly puzzled, thinking "These
are the people who whipped Hitler? These sniveling cowardly snitches with
their Gestapo-like Heimland Sekuriti, they're the ones who creamed
Imperial Japan?"

Obviously not.
