COMMUNAL HOME NEEDS WHARF

It looks to me like Clark scored a neat gulf coast motorsailer. Shallow
draft and enclosed pilot house should let him cruise around the coast
comfortably. That sail configuration should also take the bite out the cost
of diesel fuel. Happy sailing Mr Clark.

I bought the boat Friday, and have been going to Galveston daily since
Friday, today an expert and I got the 15 hp diesel serviced and running
quite well. Tomorrow we will install a bilge pump, do considerable wood work
on the teak pilot house doors, take the Sea Gipsy out for fuel, a toilet
vacuum, and test run. Wednesday we will fix any noted problems.

The boat belonged to a 68 year old gentleman who lived on it for many years
before his family had to remove him and put him in a rest home about 6
months ago. When removed, he could not walk, was a diabetic, and friends at
the dock finally got a hold of his family.

After Wednesday my expert will leave and let me figure out how to operate
the self rolling main and jib so I can really go sailing. In 1982 the boat
probably cost around $40,000 and I have inclosed details of the boat and
hope people will want to go sailing and fishing with me.
