Dead Democrats and Jon

Very interesting Jon:
I have a lot of reservations with either party. The GOP of Texas evolved
from the conservative Democrats right after the era when Price Daniels, Sam
Rayburn, LBJ, and those guys ran the state.
The Democrats have had some real prizes too, Dolpf, Mark, and Preston
"Frijoles" Smith. THe only good Democrat I can think of is Bob Bullock and
he was not all that clean. And I could name others.
They were Democrats in name only. Sharpstown was a Democratic event. I
worked in the dirty tricks division of the Sissy Farenthold campaign and we
lost. I worked for Sarah Weddington another Democrat and a good one who told
me last month at lunch that the Democrats are in deep shit in Texas and she
should know.
I think that what happens when a joker wants to play the deck really does
get shuffled. Kinky is not funny, but he is smart and he writes pretty good
books and he rescues dogs. He will throw a curve into the already set ways
of these money spending idiots. He gives the voters a choice other than the
two modly old parties.
The Democratic Party in Texas has shot itself in the foot and leg and
stomach and is a hopeless case. Ann Ricahrds thought she would win without
trying and we bid her Aloha. Hightower a good man was way to progressive for
this state and the add with him and Jesse Jackson shaking hands in front of
a burning American flag doomed him.
The two senate seats are set for the next decade. There are a few democrats
out there but they sound a lot like Republican clones to me. Their lives
revolve around big oil and big business. At least Kinky will start with an
empty plate. We are in trouble my friends and there are few ways to make
changes and Kinky just might be one?
