Old buddy Bob Rosembaum once wrote a speech for Jim Mattux (sp?) in which he
reported that the science labs at Texas A&M had substituted lawyers for
white mice. Not only were they more plentiful than mice but their use solved
the constant problem of students developing an affection for the mice and
hesitating to harm them--no such problems with the lawyers.
As I recall Chaney's target is a major power broker in Texas, his firm
working for the very fat cats. Oh that more of them could be accidentally
eliminated...
Don't you know that the whole crowd present at the hunt were briefed and
sobered up and hustled out of there in a hurry, before any lawmen arrived
and started asking questions. Wouldn't you love to have that scene on tape?
