[AGL] Jaxon again

Frances.

Good to hear from you. Been awhile.

All messages from Jon and Gerry are labeled "spam", so I only see them when someone else includes their remarks in a general reply. I don't expect either of them to agree with me nor do a give a whit. Both are fools of the First Water and they can blather away until they are blue in the face. I don't care. Jon is soooo easy to bait that sometimes my Evil Twin Freddy overcomes my better, kinder and gentler self and drops something for him to gag on. I rarely miss, I might add. Sort of like shooting face in a barrel, it loses its charm.

I can't imagine what either they are Clementine would find to disagree with....unless, of course, they are all in some kind of "social dementia" whereby...in one of the Texas Kulture's less attractive aspects...they are so withdrawn and in such a state of denial, that they think Jaxon should have killed himself. Frankly, I find many of the people on the List to have this tendency from time to time. There really doesn't appear to be much sense of "community" beyond some nice food and ocassional music get togethers. Otherwise, it seems to be live and let die and don't bother me with any "negativity, man."

It is very strange to find this level of social dis-connection among people who should know better. Maybe I am missing something warm and comforting by being here in VA, sort of ...in the distance. Certainly there are some like Moriaty that I can usually count on to have some sensitivity to things. And, although you don't like him, Wayne Smith (who was really touched by your card, btw.)

Cheers.

  Wayne,
Ever get the feeling that Gerry and Jon can be counted on to counter whatever opinion you express. I, for two, agree with Clementine that you spoke for me as well. Perhaps the message boomeranged because Clementine doesn't know the protocal of deleting the message you are commenting on, just like you tend to do.
  Best,
  Frances

Oh, gee. What was he thinking?

Was his fear about physical stamina or emotional stamina?

I still can't believe that he could think, in some fashion, that there were NOT a large number of people who really valued him and his work and would have supported him to the best of their ability. In other words, helped him through the emotional roller-coaster of treatment. And perhaps helped him with physical therapy as well.

      Further.

I don't understand why the blood medical practioners didn't recognize his fear and provide some kind of counseling. Both chemo and radiation have been around for decades and thousands of people survive...in hospices, at home, on golf courses in Florida and California.

Naturally, the quasi-religious sanctions by the ultra-moronic FDA and DEA against cannabis for suppression of nausea is a factor for those living and being treated in the US. But I imagine he would have been welcomed elsewhere, even if just temporarily, to recover.

This is so sad and, I think, so unnecessary.

Unilateral decisions, made in a state of extreme depression, can have such horrid consequences. This is one.

The world was a far better place with "Jaxon" in it.

        Marilyn,
This is one email received on the ghetto2 list:

Lynn Howell is a close friend of Jaxon's who sees
        him regularly, and saw

Also Moriaty said that he took his own life at his parents' grave in Stockdale. We don't know much more yet.
