Harry,
  He's right. If the Democrats come off as the atheist party that's the kiss of death. There are liberals who are "believers" in a supreme being. I personally think of god as a matrix of humanity we must serve and please, not exactly a supreme being. But drawing the line in the dirt on the basis of religion has no place in politics. Religious people can believe in freedom of choice. I don't think Obama wants us to back off on that issue to please evangelicals. If that is all it takes I don't respect them or their religion.
