The Ponce was where I got to stay in Atlanta, at the corner of Ponce de Leon and Peachtree, cattercorner across from the Fox (read Paramount) Theater. Yes, it was a fountain of youth experience. I have another MemoryStick that I accidentally left in Atlanta. When I get it I'll make another Web album. I took some really fine shots and documented the next door building implosion.
The fifties bathing suit was designed at the height of nuculer bomb hubris, mushroom cloud theme, remember? Someone should Photoshop a North Korean face onto the photo. I found it at the Museum of Science and Industry. That was where my grandmother had gone in 1893 on her honeymoon, to the Columbia Exposition in Chicago. That Museum is the only extant building from that event. I retraced her footsteps.
