Huh. Well, it was just an idle fantasy. They say they are filling the cracks around the city with concrete - which doesn't sound like it will do the trick. If the cause is earthquakes and ground water extraction, then the concrete will just crack/fall into the ever deepening holes. I know because I tried to fix a cracked slab that way.
