[AGL] follow up to social notes, etc.

McCain is crazy as a loon, very unpredictable, long history of bizarre behavior, wait until the Demos get ahold of his record. As for Huck, a Southern Baptist preacher, what else to say? Did you note that when McCain started bringing his overdressed trophy wife to all the rallies his ratings went up? Hard to find him on TV without her included in the frame. I guess she can talk, no sign of it yet...and, of course, she can smile well. Wonder is she is/was a professional actress?

Obama campaign sent a pro organizer (young woman) to nearby Silver City about one week before the vote . She got on the local progressive web site and started to work, held some rallies, etc. (I presume that she rallied the 9 blacks who live in the county.) Obama carried the half Hispanic county in a close one. You have to wonder how many other towns of 10,000 warranted such attention. Good, solid politics. That's the way to spend campaign cash.

No final count on the NM vote yet but it doesn't really matter. One gets 12 delegates and the other 13. This is a victory for Obama who was unknown here a year ago.

Looks like Susan and Bill Smith get the nod for an Austin realtor. If, for some reason, they don't work out I would recommend Robin McCall who is a Westlake Hills/West Austin specialist (or was back when she helped me out 20 years ago).

McCain-Hickabee? Very scary indeed, but unlikely. My concern would be that his VP be sane, as McCain is pretty old and a cancer survivor.
