thanks Font for sending along your pic of the moon

i kept on forgetting to go outside to look for it

on another subject, maillists are the best. i've made
the experiment of "deactivating" (their term of art)
my Facebook account. as it turns out, unsubscribing
does NOT take effect until 2 weeks have elapsed.
if the deactivating dweeb logs in again, to see what
it's like NOT to be subscribed to F B, the 2 week
waiting period starts all over again.

and, on another subject, i fear that Prez Obama
lost it in authorizing yet another open-ended war
in these parts. somehow stampeded into doing
this by France & England. note that Secretary
of Defense Gates argued against this, albeit with
the specious argument that a no-fly zone was a
very difficult & lengthy project to do.
