  I attended the memorial event for Arthur at the Four Seasons with
  James Wagner on Sunday. I feel sure that Arthur was known to at least
  some of the people on this list--judging from the attendance of people
  we all know: Eddie Wilson, JFKLN, Bobby Earl Smith, Jay Trachtenberg,
  Tex Thomas, Sissy Alex, Doug and Judy Brown were some of the people I
  knew who were there and relatives from his home in Boston, Mass--all
  told about a hundred people. He didn't suffer a long illness and was
  active until the day he was discovered dead at home with his hand on
  his chest, suggesting a heart attack.The event was a celebration of
  his life. He ranged wide with people from all walks of life there to
  share memories. He had played host to Dennis Hopper and other
  luminaries. His only son, Frank(?) brought his extensive collection of
  miniature frogs, birds, and Day of the Day skulls, as well as an
  extraordinary collection of post cards from all the many places he had
  visited. The guests were all invited to take cards and figurine
  mementos to remember Arthur by--it was a nice touch and something I
  hadn't seen done before.
