Ed orbited in the widest of circles, if you didn't know him, please forgive me. I tried to err on the side of inclusion.

Edward Overbeke Kluth 1941-2012 Edward Overbeke Kluth, 71, of Austin, died on Sunday August 12, 2012, at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital in Houston. Edward was born in Baltimore, MD on April 12, 1941. He was preceded in death by his father, Fredrick Carl Kluth, his mother, Edna Overbeke Kluth, and his sister Sarah Janette Kluth-Pope. Edward received his PhD in Physics from the University of Texas, Austin, in 1979. He was an avid supporter of opera in Austin and enjoyed traveling to Mexico, where his second home was located. Edward is survived by his son Aaron Kluth; daughter Rachael Beach; son-in-law Steven Beach; grandchildren Zachary Beach and Cypress Beach; brother Frederick John Kluth; sister-in-law Martha Kluth; nephew Thomas Kluth; and niece Victoria Pope; as well as numerous cousins and many wonderful friends. His family will conduct a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 25th at Mission Funeral Home, 1615 East Cesar Chavez St.,
Austin, TX. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent, in memory of Edward Kluth, to the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Austin 6901 North Lamar Boulevard Austin, Texas 78752 or to Human Rights Watch 350 Fifth Avenue, 34th Floor New York, NY 10118-3299.
