[AGL] a love supreme

listening to John Coltrane's A Love Supreme, i
write to share the memory of chanting the refrain,
"a love supreme" with Gerry Storm one evening
at the Raw Deal when Fletcher was denouncing
modern jazz. the Raw Deal on West 6th, not the
one on Sabine.

and now both Gerry and Fletcher, aka the Wizard,
are gone gone gone. how 'bout that?

we chanted the refrain together to give the lie to
Fletcher's ranting. Fletcher may have well wondered
why we were doing that.

y'all remember Gerry wonderful rants from after he
moved to New Mexico in the country, drumming
circles and astrology if i remember aright.

as for Fletcher, that was a man in full, not of course
ever a subscriber to Austin-ghetto-list
