I can't help you with your problem although I do know that this happens with
some degree of frequency, but I can't help but wonder why you are banding
the lambs in the first place if these are freezer lambs. My reasons for
asking are that ram lambs grow more quickly and, I and my customers believe,
have a better flavour. Unless there is an issue of them breeding ewe
lambs that can't be avoided by seperate penning etc., you are making extra
work for yourself and increasing health rsks to the lamb. Just a
thought!
