Fred Horak here.  If that's your final answer, you are absolutely right;  THE 
RAM DETERMINES THE SEX.
Conversely?, THE EWE DETERMINES THE NUMBER OF LAMBS.

When you see rams advertised as being producers of multiple births (think 
twice).
A ram from a multiple birth may be desirable becasue he can carry and pass on 
this trait (look twice).  If they can show a multiple birth ram produces a 
lot of ewe lambs (open the back door to your car).  But keep in mind, much of 
genetics is probability, and over time, say 100 lambs, it may still come out 
50-50.
