[Jacob-list] Strange ear growth

Here's a weird one, one of my sheep has a lumpy, hairy growth where the ear 
tag goes through. It seems like fast growing tissue growth that is covered 
with hair. Has anyone ever seen this on a Jacob ?  Should I remove the tag, 
and if so how ?  I don't think the growth is of any health problem, just a 
cosmetic issue.  Suggestions ?  Robin C.
