Fred Horak here.  Floppy ears, in itself, on new borns, is not much to worry 
about.

The genetics of ear presence (no ears), number of "ears" (four), length 
(pendulous/extremely stubby aural pinna) is a more interesting defect. 

A floppy ear of normal length will probably pick up with growth.  I'd just 
note it and move on...see if it is "permanent".
