God protect us from all idiots with slogans.

 Last week, my friend, Mr. Kahlid Abadel'aziz called and wanted to come buy some lambs from me as he has done for the last several years. Ours are the type of lambs that the like [Everything from your farm is as honey!] and I allow him to kill them here according to Islamic Law. When he arrived, I greeted him and told him that Louise and I had been thinking of he and his family, and had hoped they would be spared the backlash from 9/11. Sadly, this was not so. His children are American. They have married American wives and husbands [one a nice Irish Catholic girl from Statesville]. 
    Mr. Abadel'aziz became quite emotional. He said that he had hesitated to call me, fearing that I would "have anger for him" , and went on a diatribe on how "these criminals are not Islam!"
    "We are American now. These men do evil to my friends and to Islam. You, Neal, are Christian and I am Muslim. But you are my friend and neighbor. If I get sick, you come to take me to hospital! Man from Afghanistan not take me to hospital! He not care!"
    I have never heard the story of the good Samaritan put so well.
