Red clover can sometimes produce estrogenic compounds that affect breeding,
more so in fresh grazing than in hay. That is why they say to avoid grazing
clover in breeding animals. It really shouldn't be a problem, but if you're
worried, ask a friendly extension agent. There might be a problem with
lambing if there is enough to prevent dilation.
