Carl - your new ram is gorgeous! May he father equally
gorgeous sons & daughters!! Glad you found one!

Linda - thanks for posting the pictures.

We're enjoying the "calm" of summer here in NC. Am
praying daily for rain -- my pastures are brown and I
have to feed hay. That and no real inquiries to
purchase are making this a learning year for me a
somewhat new shepherd. There has been rain out near
the coast and to the south and east of me, but I
haven't had a "real" rain (more than a shower, lasting
a couple of ours or more) since last March. 

Have a horn question -- we had a ewe lamb born this
year. She's an adorable 4 horn. Her fleece is great,
she has a super temperament. Only challenge is that
her horns were soft. She's broken them all off and is
now getting "nubs".  We will keep her since she is (of
course) my daughter's favorite (she's been working
with her for 4H shows) but wondered about the cause.
Will the "nubs" be stronger?
