  Around here they are sometimes at flea markets and other low cost outlets.  We are in a farming area and I think they are sometimes used to package fertilizer or things that are typically packaged in metal barrels.  Not sure.  I see them in yards for sale every now and then.

    I don't think he can do much more than dent this, it is a pretty sturdy metal tank, but I am going to take it out anyway, just in case.  Do you know where your friend got the plastic drum?  Sounds like a good idea.

      Yes, we have a friend that used a blue plastic drum for the ram pens (Icelandic).  She says it keeps them from ruining her fences and buildings.  I wouldn't use metal, they could get cut if they broke it open.
