Neal,
Funny ...
You're HMO won't pay for Rabies unless you are attacked by a mad animal who can't be caught. I think it is a series of 3 shots now and I cant remember (5 years ago) if it was $150 for one or all three ...
I vaccinated my sheep, or the vet did ... rabid dogs yes, but what about racoons or other small critters ...?

I hate feeling that I am weighing in on everything, but...
We live in a hot rabies area. Our cows are vaccinated for rabies, our sheep are not. I am not sure whether vaccines are available for sheep. You need to consult with your vet on this, not us yahoos! [Quite frankly, it makes more sense to me to vaccinate ME for rabies.] My reasoning goes something like this:
Rabid dog attacks cows > cows get rabies, potentially pass it to us.
Rabid dog attacks sheep> sheep die, end of transmission line.

Question #1. Is Kelp used for the omission of parasites? How much do you use? How is it administered to your flock?
Question #2. Is it advisable for me to vaccinate my flock against Rabies? Thanks for your valuable input.
Cheryl
