[Jacob-list] An odd stillbirth...

Thanks, all of you for your comments. I realize not every lamb can
make it, but it is an unhappy day (or dawn) when you find one
that didn't.

Just a couple of details to add to the description:

The ewe counts pretty well. The first time she lambed, she was a
little confused by the 2 lambs going opposite directions, but she
did figure out they both belonged to her. She has twinned consistently
for us with no troubles until this. She seems in good shape this
evening.

I took time to clean up the little carcass this morning. I keep a
photo record of all the births, so wanted to include this one. I was
thinking that the fleece was muddy and grey. It turns out, the white
portions of the fleece were not white at all, but sort of dingy:
black spots on a grey field. It didn't rinse off, as I had expected.

White feet, grey fleece, dead lamb.
