Similarly, we swab each ear with iodine, dip the tag and applicator
in iodine, and punch.

So far, so good.

But those baby ears do tear easily, and a number of ID tags get
lost some years. Seems like, when one lamb figures out about ripping
its tag off on the fence, they all think that's a terrific idea!
