[Jacob-list] Chickens and sheep

Treat him as a equal . He is not better than you, nor you better than 
him...   They sense inferiority and a treat more not  so much as 
"fear". ( people that visit here always say" they will know I'm afraid" 
)   They also read our  "non - verbal 's ",( a  thing you can only feel 
and see)      Like I read what animals plan to do next by how they move 
, blink  their eyes , their feet etc.  they do the same thing....  They 
WILL meet aggression with aggression and  act aggressively out of the 
need to protect themselves  and mates (out of instinct)   Treat 
everyone the same   ( would you hit your ewes because they stump their 
feet at you ?    If they do that  THEY DON"T KNOW YOU OR WHAT YOU"LL DO 
NEXT!!!!!)   and be consistent in your actions and I bet you will meet  
the same response each time you meet a ram, at least one that knows you 
and what to expect from you ... Learning this is NOT over night ... so 
I must be  OLD AS  DIRT!!!    > Katherine
