Bats can carry rabies
Bats eat insects
Insects do eat me and the sheep
Insects can spread disease ...
I love dusk with the bats flying around eating the biting flies, and other
flying insects ....
Its rare that you will be attacked by a bat, there are ways of treating rabies
... some painful and some expensive but the bats remove real problems. Life is a
gamble every day, pay your money and pick your evil. You should be ok as long as
you don't handle them or you use good sense. Avoid if obviously sick, avoid
direct contact / saliva, use rubber gloves, face mask if you have one, wash ...
Shovels are good too!
