[Jacob-list] Another question....

My ewes never stop eating -- well right during the delivery and perhaps up to an hour or two afterwards as they spend their time bonding. 12 hours after delivery, I am feeding the just lambed girls.
A ewe who eats and then spits up grain is not normal. Perhaps she is eating so fast so she can get back to her lambs and chokes?

Subject: [Jacob-list] Another question....
How long after lambs are born before they tend to start eating grains, hay, grass, etc?
I was taking note that one ewe after about a week is going to the trough with teh other sheep... eating.... and then spitting up the grains when she goes back to the lambs... is this a normal practice?
Thanks again,
Chris
