I know that other people who have sheep with similar cases of coughing,
wheezing, were strongly encouraged to treat it.  I just can't remember what
was used.....perhaps an antibiotic.  Best to consult a vet.  If you have
any banamine around it is supposed to aid in respiratory inflammation.  See
www.banamine.com.  The cough could be from irritants like dust or something
that could develop further, maybe pneumonia in some cases.  Losing some
weight would definitely help.  Good luck.
