[Jacob-list] Experts on 4-horned rams

I think it is a heavy load to carry those horns - rather like a huge crown. My guy Rudy kept knocking a lateral on the door frame exiting the barn and it came loose last fall, then reattached lower and grew into his jaw, so we had to lop it off (vet) about 2" out from the skull. He still goes around poking his top horns into the ground like he wants to be rid of them. I have not seen this behavior in my smaller 4H ram, Nelson; but he does get into his calf-hutch shelter and bang into it some - managed to shove it off the RR ties I set it up on.

See if Carl who has a number of 4H rams has an answer.

Any advice welcome.
