[Jacob-list] Lamb down

I found a wethered lamb down in the pasture this morning. He was lying flat on his side and his head arched towards his back end. He is about 4 mos old.When moving him, he was paddling his legs. I called the vet and they think it is a thiamine deficiency (Polio) This is what we are treating him for. I do have some chickens that will not stay out of the barn. I was concerned about the possibility of Cocci. Has any one delt with these symptoms?
