[Jacob-list] Sheep security

We've had some escapes in the past, but they always
stayed in the yard/around the pasture is sight/hearing
of flock. Tabitha was not a jumper and very devoted to
her lamb. That's what makes me feel she was snatched,
she kept close watch on her lamb and was by her side
constantly.

My son is a special needs child. He is on the autistic
spectrum and does not attend public school. We home
teach. His neighborhood friend likes the sheep and was
very upset Tabitha is missing. Tabitha is 4, so
wouldn't be going to Fair this year, she was a
breeding animal.  Most of his "friends" are at church,
4H rabbit club and gymnastics lessons. I'm very
thankful her lamb, Samantha, was not taken!

We do have a horse that runs with them EXCEPT during
lambing -- he gets nervous around small lambs. I was
going to run them together again this weekend. <sigh>
They are together now.

Our guess is migrant workers may have thought she was
a goat, and captured one to eat (not shared this with
son, of course).

Today I plan to go out and whack down some of the
brush between paddock and road to make it more
visible. Also run some more electric across the top of
the fenceline along the street and post WARNING
Electric Fence and BEWARE OF DOG signs. <sigh>

They are all up in paddock by barn with horse now. NOT
near the street.

It sure is a puzzle!
