The regulations apply to the ewe flock and not to rams. There may be rules in addition to what I'm familiar with, but I know that for my situation I could bring in a ram and not alter my status. I don't know if it would matter if the ram was shared and moving around. Robin Lynde

Someone in OH in the program here offered to LEND me a small ram and then bring him back and it would NOT alter her status - are you sure that you cannot swap rams and still be legal?

Have any of you explored the details of how a small group can share rams without resetting the clock on the scrapie-free status? I was thinking about whether a few local farms could have a ram "co-op" without totally joining our books and becoming a Fortune 500 company!
