[Jacob-list] scrapie

I haven't entered into the voluntary scrapie program as of yet. I was trying to deal with 3 different states. And each state has their own requirements, bust so far I've learned that at least in CA, WY, and IL that it's 5 years to be considered scrapie free.  I haven't entered the program yet becuase I'm leaving CA on my way to IL by way of WY for at least a year. Taking only 6 sheep with me, 4 ewes, a wether, and a ram. When talking to the scrapie people here in CA they said it's up to each state as to wether I would have to start over at the zero year mark upon entering the new state, so I just will wait until I get to IL. 

Has anyone else had to go through similar situations?
