Welcome, Karen! Looking forward to your contributions on the list and, of course, looking at your website!

If you want to see God's power at work, you must get out of the church and into the world. Watch the extravagant lengths which God will go to reveal Himself to people who don't know Him. Then you will learn how truly awesome our God is. (Author Unknown)

Hi list members - I'm not exactly new to the list but have been reading for
a bit now. I finally have my website up so I thought it was a good time to
introduce myself. Like Susan who recently joined I am a veterinarian
(although not retired) and have done small animals since graduation 20 some
years ago. Rusty on my sheep medicine but getting better daily! I am a solo
practitioner so time is of a premium. I have a small flock 10 ewes and 1 ram
and planning to add a second ram.

I have to tell you all that when we starting looking at sheep breeds and
decided to choose one on the ALBC I contacted several breed organizations of
breeds we were interested in and several breeders of each breed. Jacob
breeders were hands down the most welcoming and informative! You love your
sheep and really want to promote the breed. I also have to say that JSBA is
an outstandingly organized breed association. I think this list is a
wonderful forum. I actually tried to join another breed organization three
times, they apparently lsot the first 2 checks for membership and it took
over 1 year to become a member! Congratulations on a great job - its clear
it is alot of work!

to finish introductions - we have a 22 acre farm south of Chicago in
Illinois near the Indiana border. We are interesting in providing primarily
breeding stock and quality fleeces. We are offering for sale most of our
2008 (and first) lamb crop for sale. Please check out our web site
www.threefatesjacobs.com.

any suggestions for marketing fleeces? I really am not free to go to sheep
and wool shows with a booth. I am going to try to attend the Michigan Sheep
and Wool festival if I can swing it.

Thanks again for all you hard work for the jacob breed.
