Some breeds seem to have richer milk than others although perhaps pasture quality affects this.
A problem we have found with 'sticky bottoms' is that sometimes it hardens across the anus, stuck to the wool and setting like concrete and the lamb becomes blocked up.  The cure obviously is to unstick it, but stand back as some pressure can build up !  I suspect that the lamb would die if the blockage was not released.  It's definitely something to watch out for in the first couple of days after birth.
