Tail docking is good health practice. It's cleaner, but don't dock them too short !!

Subject: Re: [Jacob-list] broken tails
I stopped docking the tails on my sheep a few years
ago. Since then I have had a few sheep end up with
broken tails. One of them has stretched the skin so
much that the tail is almost touching the ground. Has
anyone else run into this problem? I am not really
sure what to do about it, but I am thinking of
starting to dock tails again. Any thoughts?
