[Jacob-list] transporting pregnant ewes

What are folks' thoughts and experiences with transporting pregnant  
ewes? We (in VT) are likely selling two pregnant ewes and delivering  
them about 3 hours away (in ME). Under what conditions might the ewes  
abort if indeed they are at risk for that? These are young ewes in  
good health. Is there an optimal time for this, like just after  
breeding or later on or ???
