Our experience has been that you can breed ALL of the intelligence out of a 
sheep in one generation. Our crossbreds have been the most totally witless 
animals on the place, making chickens and turkeys look like genuises in 
comparison. Our "romney/corrie" ewe threw lambs that looked like Jacobs on 
steroids, even a 4 horn ram lamb. But wool forward of ears and a chunky look 
that wouldn't fool our inspectors for a second. The fleeces have tended to 
be very nice on those lambs- similar to Jacob in looks but a little bit 
finer and very soft. We got one that was true brown, not just brown tips, 
but all the others were spotted and more than 1/2 white.
