[Jacob-list] Hide processing

I recently had a washable pelt prepared by Mint City Tanning, Portland,
Michigan (517/455-1739).  The pelt was from a 6-month-old Jacob ram lamb.
Mint City's owner, Dan Davis, was helpful with advice on how I should
prepare the pelt, which sat salted for ~3 months before I took it to the
tanner.  Mr. Davis preferred to do required trimming, instead of having me
do it.  Total cost for of all of this: $45.  I am pleased Mint City's work;
the cost was lower than I have been charged elsewhere.

I had a lady phone me today about where to process her hides. She said, she
used Bucks County and? after washing their washable hides according to
directions, they were stiff. Does anyone have a different place to get
washable hides processed that are reliable.
