[Jacob-list] Transgenic alfalfa

JacobList subscribers interested in learning more about the production,
approval, and uses for transgenic (i.e., Roundup Ready) alfalfa may find
information on the website for the Alfalfa Workgroup of the University of
California's Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources
(http://alfalfa.ucdavis.edu/).  University of California Cooperative
Extension also produced two general educational videos that are available on
You Tube and may be found by using the search function: "Genetic Engineering
in California Agriculture" and "Animal Biotechnology".  Both videos received
numerous awards for their objective, science-based presentations.  Beware:
Each video is approximately 30 minutes in length.

 

"Hey, where's the Jacob tie-in?" you asked?  Watch the second video for
several scenes in which a set of artificially-produced, identical twin Jacob
ewes may be seen.
