Mark did a great job summing up the AGM (Annual General Meeting).  We are hosting this year's AGM in Dexter, OR and I am really excited to see old friends and meet new ones.  The event moves around to different parts of the country depending on who steps forward to host it.  Last year it was hosted by Royal Unzicker and held in New Jersey. All of the AGMs I have been to have been relaxed with the perfect blend of learning and chatting.

I used to be a member of the Jacobs Sheep Breeders Association (JSBA) and looked forward to the Annual General Meeting (AGM) every year.  You get to meet a lot of the breeders from around the country and they get some really good specialists to speak about genetics, feed, parasites and a variety of topics that every breeder needs to know.  Some of my favorite people have been met at an AGM.
I will let some of the JSBA people give more details, but in short,
    Yes, you do need to experience it.
